Vinicius Jr Issues Apology to Los Blancos Supporters
The forward has scored 5 strikes in 10 Spanish league outings so far this term.
Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's heated match against Barcelona triumph.
He was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his disappointment by heading directly off the pitch.
He later returned to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barcelona's opposing player during contentious post-match incidents.
"Now I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on social media.
"Similarly to I have already done during today's practice, I also want to apologise again to my teammates, the organization, and the leadership.
"Sometimes fervor takes over me because I continuously aim to win and support my club. My determined nature comes from the affection I hold for this institution and everything it stands for."
He joined Real from Flamengo in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated triple figures in numerous matches.
But his career in the Madrid is unclear with reports in recent months indicating that Los Blancos would think about permitting the young star depart if they got a good proposal.
When the winger was replaced on that day, TV coverage from broadcaster the service recorded him saying: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I go, I'm going."
In his new message on X, Vinicius commented: "I promise to keep battling every second for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have done since the initial arrival."
