The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to engage players with strong games on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

A pair of titles currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of horror and action."

Intriguing Niche Additions

But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
